- GCash users who availed new GCash Visa Cards that were not linked on or before December 15, 2025
- Last day to order cards with free GCash Visa Card Protect Insurance: December 15, 2025
- Last day to activate insurance: January 15, 2026
- Last day of Card Protect policy coverage: February 14, 2026

Link your card on or before January 15, 2026 to enjoy the free 30-day Card Protect Insurance coverage.

1. I already linked my card before December 15, 2025. Am I covered by this update?
This update only applies to new GCash Visa Cards that are not linked to a GCash account as of December 15, 2025.
If you linked your GCash Visa Card on or before this date, you will still enjoy the 30-day free insurance until February 14, 2026.
2. I ordered the GCash Visa Card on December 16, 2025. Am I eligible for the free, embedded Card Protect Insurance?
GCash Visa Cards issued on or after December 16, 2025 are no longer eligible.
3. What are the requirements to activate the free, embedded Card Protect Insurance?
Kindly link your GCash Visa Card by tapping the Cards icon on the home page to activate it.
4. Will I still get the free, embedded Card Protect Insurance if I activate after January 15, 2026?
GCash users who activate their card after January 15, 2026 will no longer be eligible.

7. When should I file my claim?
File your claim as soon as possible, and no later than 72 hours after you first discover any cyber incident, unauthorized transaction, loss, or damage involving your GCash Visa Card.
