How can I use GCash Card for public transportation?
You can now use GCash Mastercard or Visa Card to pay for your rides easier and faster. You can also use other Mastercard or VISA cards issued locally. If your old EMV chip card isn’t working, contact your bank for a replacement to enjoy easy cashless train payments.
As of the moment, card payments are only available for the MRT-3.
Note:
Use the SAME payment method to enter and exit. For example, if you enter with your GCash Tap to Pay, you must also exit with Tap to Pay. Switching to a different method (GCash Commute QR, Scan to Pay, GCash Card, or other cards) will not work.
How to use GCash Card for public transportation:
- Tap your GCash Card on the validator at the entrance.
- Wait for the green light or confirmation message to proceed.
- When exiting, tap your GCash Card again on the validator.
- Wait for confirmation before stepping through the turnstile.
