What is the GCash Account Ownership Limit?
The Account Ownership Limit is the rule that sets how many GCash wallets you can register under your name. Every user can have up to five (5) fully verified personal GCash accounts. According to our GCash Terms and Conditions, you can't create, use, or access more accounts if you reach this limit.

What if I don’t choose?
You have 60 days from the date of notice from GCash to choose which GCash Accounts you wish to keep and which to deactivate (“User Selection Period”). If you fail to do so, GCash will automatically restrict access to any of your GCash Accounts exceeding the five-account limit, based on the following criteria:
- Accounts you use the least
- Accounts with ₱0 balance
- Accounts not linked to any active loan
✅ To keep using your preferred GCash Accounts, you have to deactivate the ones you no longer need or use within the User Selection Period.
For Clarity:
On or before August 31, 2025 | You can choose which accounts exceeding the 5-Account limit you will be Deactivating. |
Starting September 1, 2025 | GCash will automatically restrict access to any of your GCash Accounts exceeding the 5-account limit. |
Can I choose which account to keep or deactivate?
Yes. Once you receive the list of your GCash Accounts, you may inform us which accounts you wish to keep or deactivate by replying to our notice via the GCash App or email.
If you're using the GCash App, go to Profile, tap your name, and select Delete Account. Be sure to attach a valid ID and a selfie with the ID for verification.
What should I do with my fund balance or services in my excess accounts before deactivation?
Before deactivating any of your GCash Accounts, make sure to:
- Pay off any outstanding loans (e.g., GLoan, GCredit, GGives, Borrow Load)
- Complete or claim any pending refunds
- Withdraw funds from GSave, GInvest, GCrypto, and GStocks
- Cash out your wallet balance
Please note that GCash cannot deactivate GCash accounts if the foregoing is not accomplished.
What happens to restricted accounts with remaining funds?
Your funds will remain secure, but you won’t be able to log in to the restricted account. You may request GCash to transfer any remaining balance to one of your other active accounts.
If we do not receive any instructions regarding your restricted excess account(s), your account may be subject to inactivity policies under the GCash Terms and Conditions.

- GCash Pera Outlet (GPO): You can transfer your business account to another fully verified account under your name.
- Online payments: Transactions from a restricted account will not go through. Be sure to update your GCash details on any linked platforms to avoid problems with subscriptions or recurring payments.
- GInsure: Your insurance remains active as long as it’s fully paid.
- GCash Card: The card stays active but won’t work for payments.
Are there any exceptions to the five-account rule?
No. The five-account limit applies to all GCash users without exception.
