Can’t link debit or credit card to GCash
This feature is currently available to Android users and is being rolled out gradually.
If you can’t link your Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card, try these quick steps:
1. Check if your card is allowed
- Your card must be a Visa or Mastercard card.
- The following Mastercard issuers are supported:
- BPI
- BDO
- Metrobank
- UBP
- PNB
- RCBC
- EWB
- CBC
- GCash PbA
- Zed
- MariBank
- All Visa-issued cards are supported, regardless of the issuing bank.
- The following Mastercard issuers are supported:
- GCash-issued Visa or Mastercard cards, including GCash co-branded Visa cards, aren’t supported.
2. Adjust your card settings
- Make sure your card is activated.
- Enable e-commerce or online payments in your card’s banking app settings.
3. Check your GCash and app
- Your GCash account is Fully Verified.
- Your GCash app is on the latest version.
- Your internet connection, whether data or Wi-Fi, is stable.
4. Try linking again
- Close the GCash app and open it again.
- Try again using either of these paths:
- Profile > My Linked Accounts > Add a Card
- Cash In > Link a Debit or Credit card
- Enter your card details and wait for your bank’s OTP or app prompt.
5. Contact your bank
- If your card is still declined or you don’t receive an OTP, contact your card issuer.
- Ask if they can allow this type of transaction.
