How to create a GCash Virtual US Account
A GCash Virtual US Account lets you receive US dollar payments straight to your GCash wallet. Learn how to open your own account below.
Requirements to open an account
- Be a Fully Verified GCash user
- Be a Philippine resident aged 18 or older
- Have completed your GCash profile
- Have at least one valid Philippine government-issued ID
Note:
You can only link one Virtual US Account to your GCash. Multiple US accounts are not supported at this time.
How to open a GCash Virtual US Account
- Open your GCash app and tap View All.
- Tap Virtual US Account.
- Tap International Accounts > Virtual US Account.
- Tap Continue and review the terms.
- Tap Proceed, fill in your details, upload your ID, and take a selfie scan.
- Tap Submit.
You’ll get updates in your GCash app inbox and by push notification after a few minutes. Once approved, tap View Account Details to get started.
FAQs
Virtual US Account placed on hold
Your Virtual US Account may be placed on hold if:
- Your deposit activity is higher than normal, or
- We need more information to verify a payment
If this happens, we’ll notify you and may ask for simple documents (e.g., an invoice or proof of payment) so we can resume normal activity on your account.
Transactions not allowed with Virtual US Account
You cannot use your Virtual US Account for:
- Illegal goods or services
- Transactions involving sanctioned parties or countries
- Terrorist financing
- Adult or escort services
- Unlicensed gambling
- Unapproved cryptocurrency exchanges
- Shell companies or other restricted business activities
