Log in safely to GCash with your MPIN/biometrics

Protect your GCash account to avoid possible loss of your funds or stealing of your personal details. Learn how to secure your account below:
- Never share your GCash MPIN or OTP (authentication code) with anyone. GCash or its representatives will never ask for your personal information unless you request help through the GCash Help Center.
- Access GCash through a trusted phone. Do not log in to GCash using another person's device since they may access your information. Jailbroken or rooted phones are prevented from opening the app since they may increase your risk of getting hacked.

GCash DoubleSafe protects your GCash account with the use of two levels of authentication. This adds another layer of security to help prevent your money and personal data from being hacked or stolen.
DoubleSafe is triggered every time there is a new login with your GCash account. You can only log in using your mobile number and cannot log in with your email address (ex. Gmail or Yahoo). If you delete certain information on your phone, but you’re still using the same device, DoubleSafe will be activated.
Follow the steps below to activate GCash DoubleSafe.
- Open your GCash app and input your mobile number.
- Tap Send Code and input the 6-digit authentication code sent via SMS
- Tap MPIN Login and enter your MPIN
- Prepare for a selfie scan and tap Next
- Take your selfie scan
Follow the steps below to activate GCash DoubleSafe.
- Open your GCash app and input your mobile number.
- Tap Send Code and input the 6-digit authentication code (OTP) sent via SMS
- Tap MPIN Login and enter your MPIN
- Input the 2nd OTP that will be sent through SMS
You will not be able to access your GCash account for 24 hours if you have 5 failed attempts. Please retry after 24 hours.
If you forgot your MPIN or got locked out of your account, you can regain access to your account by answering five (5) security questions correctly.
- On your GCash homepage, tap Profile > Settings
- Tap Account Recovery > Security Questions > Next
- Select 5 Security Questions and input your answers. Tap Confirm
- Review your answers and tap Confirm
- You'll be led to a page that confirms the activation of your security questions.
- Open your Gcash app and tap Forget MPIN
- Tap Send Code and input the 6-digit authentication code sent via SMS. Tap Submit
- Answer the security questions and tap Submit
- Enter your New MPIN and tap Submit.
- You'll be led to a page that confirms the successful recovery of your account.
Enabling biometric authentication through Face ID scan or fingerprint doubles the protection of your GCash account.
