FAQs
Getting started
Yes. First-time users need to review and accept the Merchant Bills Payment Terms and Conditions before using the feature.
No. You only need to accept the Terms and Conditions once, unless updated terms require you to accept again.
Meralco is currently the available biller in the portal.
Payments are deducted directly from your GCash for Business wallet.
Convenience fees are waived until December 31, 2026.
Payment process
Yes. Each biller may set its own transaction limit. If your payment goes over the allowed limit, you will be notified during the payment process.
No. You can pay only one bill per transaction for now.
The system checks for incomplete or incorrect entries and shows inline error messages when needed. Some biller details, such as account name or account number, may not be fully validated by Meralco, so the payment may still push through even if some information is wrong.
You may see a duplicate transaction warning if you recently made a similar payment. This happens when the same biller, account number, and amount were used within the last 5 minutes. You can choose to continue or cancel the payment.
OTP and verification
A one-time PIN, or OTP, is a security code sent to the registered merchant email address. You need the correct OTP to complete your payment.
Select "Resend Code."
Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
You may have entered the wrong code. Select "Resend Code" and try again.
If you entered the wrong code 3 times, wait 5 minutes, then select "Pay Bills" again to restart the process.
Payment status and transaction history
For Meralco payments with real-time posting until 7 PM, the payment result appears right away on the confirmation receipt page and in transaction history. You will also receive an email notification.
For Meralco payments made beyond 7 PM, the transaction may first appear as "Processing." If posting fails, the transaction will be reversed, the funds will be refunded automatically, and the update will appear in transaction history with an email notification.
You can view your Merchant Bills Payment transactions in these dashboards:
Wallet Dashboard, where the latest 15 transactions for the day are shown.

Common issues
Here are some common reasons:
Missing information: Some required details are missing or incorrect. Review all fields and make sure everything is complete.
Low wallet balance: Your wallet balance may not be enough to cover the bill and any applicable fees.
Biller is offline: The biller may be temporarily offline or under maintenance.
System timeout: There may be a temporary system timeout. Refresh and try again.
Invalid account number: The account number format may be wrong, or the account may not be eligible for payment through this channel.
Exceeded biller transaction limit: The amount entered may be higher than the biller’s allowed transaction limit.
If your payment fails:
Check if your wallet has enough funds.
Review the bill details you entered.
Try the transaction again.
If the issue continues, contact merchant support at merchantsupport@gcash.com.
Successful payments are generally final. If you need help, contact merchantsupport@gcash.com. Assistance will still depend on the biller’s policies and investigation results.
Not all GCash billers are available yet in GCash for Business. Some billers may still support consumer bills payment only and may not yet support business or merchant-to-biller payments.
