What are EasyPOS and SoundPay Plus?
EasyPOS is GCash’s in-store terminal for QR and card payments, managed only through the GCash for Business Portal.
SoundPay Plus is an in-store device for QR and card payments that plays a clear sound when a payment is successful.

Device FAQs
Delivered by GCash’s Value Chain Partner (VCP) in about 4–6 business days for Metro Manila and most provinces, or up to 16 days for remote areas.
Devices arrive pre‑activated. The VCP sets up the terminal in the store and explains how to use it.
You can process payments using Visa or Mastercard (via tap or chip-and-PIN), or have customers scan a QR code using GCash and other apps that support QRPH.
There is no initial fee for the device or terminal at the time of availment.
Charges are applied through a Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) on every transaction:
- 3.2% for each card payment
- 1.0% for each QR payment
Transaction History updates instantly, but the Wallet Balance only shows settled funds. Make sure to do manual settlement daily on the device.
How is EasyPOS used?
Debit
- Tap Card on the home screen.
- Enter the amount.
- Ask the customer to insert or tap their card.
- Let the customer enter their PIN if prompted.
- Wait for “Payment successful”, then print a receipt if needed.
Credit
- Tap Card on the home screen.
- Enter the amount.
- Ask the customer to insert or tap their card.
- Wait for “Payment successful”, then print a receipt if needed.
- Tap QR Code.
- Enter the amount.
- Ask the customer to scan the QR using GCash or any QRPH-enabled app.
- Once marked successful, provide the receipt if requested.
- Get the Txn ID from Transaction History or receipt.
- Tap More > Void / Reversal.
- Enter the full amount and the Txn ID, then confirm.
- Go to Settlement / Settle Batch.
- Choose the batch and confirm.
- Wait for “Settlement successful” so funds move to your GCash for Business Portal wallet.
How is SoundPay Plus used?
- On the home screen, select Sale > enter the amount.
- Ask the customer to insert or tap their card.
- For debit cards, have them enter their PIN if asked.
- Wait for the approval screen and the sound that confirms success.
- Tap the QR button.
- Enter the amount.
- Ask the customer to scan the QR with GCash or any QRPH-enabled app.
- Wait for the on-screen success + sound.
- Press Menu twice to open Txn History and note the Txn ID.
- From the home screen, press Menu > Void.
- Enter the full amount and Txn ID, then confirm.
- Open the settlement menu on the device.
- Start settlement for all pending transactions.
- Wait for confirmation so funds are credited to your GCash for Business Portal wallet.
