Traveling to the Philippines? Create a GTourist account on GCash to pay in stores across the country.
What you should know about GTourist
- You must be 18 or older.
- You need a foreign mobile number or SIM card to sign up.
- You can create an account before arriving, but it will activate only when you are in the Philippines.
- Your account is valid for 30 days and will deactivate automatically afterward.
- For a basic account, you only need a valid Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card issued in your name.
- For a fully verified account, you will need your foreign passport.

Before you create a GTourist account
Turn on your location to activate GTourist. Your account will be activated once you are in the Philippines, have completed your registration, and have location sharing turned on.
How to create a GTourist account
- Download the GCash app from the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android.
- Open the app, enter your mobile number, and allow location sharing.
- Enter the six-digit OTP sent to your mobile number. Make sure your SIM has roaming enabled to receive the code.

Tap For Visiting Foreigners.
- Enter your personal information exactly as shown on your passport, including your middle name, if applicable.
- Set your MPIN.
- On the GCash Tourist Page, tap Link a Card to start paying at stores in the Philippines.
- Enter your Visa or Mastercard card details.
- Once your card is successfully linked, you’ll be directed to the GCash Tourist Dashboard.
FAQs
How long is my GTourist account valid?
Your GTourist account is valid for 30 days from the date it is activated when you log in while in the Philippines. Make sure to use any remaining funds in your GCash Wallet before your account is deactivated.
After 30 days, your account will be automatically deactivated, and you will no longer have access to your GCash Wallet.
Can I use GTourist on my next visit to the Philippines?
Access to GTourist on future visits is at the sole discretion of GCash.
