GCash PasaHERO Protect by BPI MS is personal accident insurance designed for commuters. It covers accidental death, permanent disablement, double indemnity for severe public transport accidents, and motorcycle-related accidents (up to the coverage limit).

Coverage
GCash PasaHERO Protect by BPI MS covers accidental death, permanent disablement, double indemnity for severe public transport accidents for paying passengers, and motorcycle-related accidents (up to the coverage limit).

Policy Exclusions
The GCash PasaHERO Protect by BPI MS DOES NOT cover:
- Accidents caused by war, terrorism, or illegal activities
- Accidents related to high-risk professions (e.g., soldier, police, stuntman)
- Illnesses or pre-existing conditions
- Accidents related to extreme sports or high-risk activities
Eligibility
You can avail of this product if you are:
- At least 18-65 years old
- A Filipino citizen residing in the Philippines at the time of application
- A Fully Verified GCash user
Purchase GCash PasaHERO Protect by BPI MS
Please note that you can avail of only one GCash PasaHERO Protect policy per person per year in GInsure. However, you can buy policies for yourself and up to five (5) other people.
To purchase GCash PasaHERO Protect by BPI MS, follow the steps below:
STEP 1: On your GCash App, tap GInsure
STEP 2: Tap Accident
STEP 3: Tap PasaHERO Protect
STEP 4: A pop-up Declaration will appear. Tap Agree
STEP 5: You’ll be redirected to the BPI/MS Insurance Corporation Product page. Tap Proceed
STEP 6: Check out the full packages of PasaHERO Protect. Select the package you want to avail and tap Proceed
STEP 7: Fill in all the required details and upload 1 valid government ID
STEP 8: Read through the Product Terms and Conditions. Tap Proceed
STEP 9: You will be redirected to the GCash App to pay for your policy. Tap Agree
STEP 10: Review the details of your transaction and tap Proceed
STEP 11: You will receive a payment confirmation of the successful purchase of your policy with your reference number
Note: An email confirmation that the Policy has been issued and is in force will be sent to your email address on record. Within twenty-four (24) hours from policy purchase, another email will be sent that includes all policy documents, including the Policy Contract.
An active policy cannot be upgraded. You can wait until your current policy expires before purchasing a new and upgraded plan.
Claims and Cancellation
Claims
To file a claim for your GCash PasaHERO Protect policy, send an email to BPIMS_Non-Motor_Claims@bpi.com.ph. Please prepare the following documents:
- Police report
- Valid ID of the policyholder
- Proof of incident (hospital records, death certificate, etc.)
Upon submission of complete and accurate claim documents, the standard turnaround time for the policyholder’s claim is ten (10) working days.
Claims may/will not be accepted or processed if:
- The insured violated policy exclusions (e.g., high-risk occupation, illegal activities)
- Required documents were not submitted completely or compliant with general standards of the requirement or deemed to have been falsified or fraudulent
- The accident is not covered under the policy
Cancellation of Policy
You may turn off your policy’s Auto-Renewal at any time by visting the GCash app > GInsure > My GInsure > PasaHERO Protect > Policy Page > Services > Turn off Auto-Renewal.
This will allow your current policy to continue until the end of its term. Cancellations and refunds are subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. Refunds may not be available if a claim has already been made, or if the cancellation occurs beyond the allowed period. Applicable taxes and fees may be non-refundable.
