How to earn and collect green energy points in GForest

Help the environment when you use GCash. You earn green energy points from every cashless transaction, and these points help you plant a tree in GForest.

How to earn green energy points:

Green energy points show how much carbon you save by using GCash instead of cash. You get points from successful transactions like Send Money, Buy Load, and Pay Bills.

Points are added within 24 hours after each transaction.

Below are GCash transactions that earn green energy and their monthly limits:

How to collect green energy points:

  1. On your GCash app > tap GForest
  2. Tap the floating energy bubbles on your GForest home screen
  3. You can also collect energy from friends by tapping their names in the GForest dashboard


 

Important reminders

  • If this is your first time using GForest, only eligible transactions made within the past 72 hours will appear on your dashboard.
  • You can't unfriend GForest friends right now. To stop them from getting your energy, open GForest and collect your energy 24 hours after each transaction.
  • Energy bubbles do not appear at a fixed time, but they usually show up around:
    • 6:00 AM–7:00 AM
    • 11:00 PM–12:00 MN
  • Collect your energy as soon as possible. Bubbles you don't collect disappear after 72 hours.
