Can't link my account to GCash
If you can’t link your bank or another account to GCash, it may be because of:
- Account Verification: GCash may unlink your account if your information doesn't match. Make sure your GCash and bank account details are exactly the same.
- System Maintenance or Updates: Maintenance can affect linked accounts. You may need to link your account again after updates.
- Inactivity: Your bank connection may unlink after long periods of not using it.
- Bank Policies or Limits: Your bank may require you to verify your linked account regularly. Going over cash-in limits or having many failed transactions can also cause unlinking.
Still can’t link your bank?
Try these steps below:
BPI/UnionBank
Invalid user ID and/or password:
- Reset your password
- Wait 24 hours
- Log in with new details
- Link to GCash again
Note: Three failed logins will lock your BPI account.
Linked account with changed password
If you changed your password, you need to relink your bank account.
Disabled internet browser banking for UnionBank
If you’re getting any of these errors:
- Unable to log in via UnionBank
- You have disabled Internet browser banking
Please try the following to enable browser banking:
- Open your UnionBank app
- Tap More
- Tap Login and Security
- Tap Browser Banking > Enable Browser Banking
- Log in to UnionBank again
PayPal
To link your PayPal to GCash, you need:
- Fully Verified GCash account
- A verified Philippine PayPal account
- Name check and currency conversion done on the PayPal website
- For Android: Set Google Chrome as default browser
Payoner
- Reset your password
- Wait 24 hours
- Log in on Payoneer site with new password
- Link to GCash again
