How to create a GTourist account on GCash

Traveling to the Philippines? Create a GTourist account on GCash to send money or pay in stores across the country.

What you should know about GTourist

• You need a non-Philippine mobile number/SIM to sign up.
• You can create an account before arriving, but it activates only when you're in the Philippines.
• Your account is valid for 30 days, then deactivates automatically.
• You must scan your foreign passport and do a selfie for verification.
• GTourist is currently available only in the USA (country code +1). We will gradually roll out to more countries soon.

How to create a GTourist account

1. Download the GCash app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
2. Open the app and enter your mobile number.
3. Allow location sharing.
4. Enter the 6-digit OTP sent to your mobile number. Ensure that your SIM has roaming enabled to receive the code.
5. Tap Open a GTourist Account.

6. Enter your personal info. Make sure to include your middle name (mother’s maiden name) if stated in your passport.
7. Set your MPIN.
8. Once created, you’ll be led to the GCash app dashboard.
9. Tap Verify Now to verify your account.

You'll receive an SMS update within 24 hours about your application status.
