How to unlock and apply for GLoan
GLoan is a pre-qualified loan for select GCash users only.
Important:
A high GScore, being a long-time GCash user, or having a previous loan doesn't guarantee eligibility.
Basic GLoan Requirements
- Fully Verified GCash account
- Filipino citizen
- Valid government ID
- At least 21 years old
- Verified GCash email address
Note:
GCash Overseas users (international mobile numbers) cannot access GLoan, GGives, or GCredit. These are only for Philippine-registered numbers.
- On the GCash app, tap Borrow > GLoan
- Check your screen:

Ineligible users will see “Welcome to GLoan.” To unlock it, keep using GCash services like Pay Bills, Buy Load, Cash In, Send Money, GInsure, and GInvest. |
GCash checks your eligibility weekly. You'll get an SMS if you qualify. Click here to know if you are eligible for GLoan.
Note:
For added security, GLoan may require a face scan before you can continue with your loan application.
If your face scan fails 5 times, you can try again after 24 hours. To learn more, read Face scan or face verification errors.
- Tap Get Started.
- Enter your loan amount. Make sure it’s between the specified number and should be in increments of PHP 500.
- Select an installment plan.
- Select loan purpose
- Tap Get this Loan.
- Complete personal info, tap Next
- Review your application, tap Submit
- Agree to Disclosure Statement and Terms and Conditions, tap Continue
- Check the amount you'll receive, tap Continue
- Enter the 6-digit code sent to your number.
You'll receive your loan within 24 hours. You'll get a confirmation via SMS and email.
I've used GCash for years but I’m still not eligible. Why?
GLoan looks at your overall GCash profile and activity (including how you use GCash services), your payment history, and other confidential checks. Using GCash for a long time helps, but it doesn't mean you will qualify.
I was eligible before, but not anymore. Why?
Eligibility changes based on regular review of your profile and activity. Past approval doesn’t mean you will always be eligible.
My GScore is high. Why am I not eligible?
A high GScore is a great start, but it isn't the only thing we look at. How you use GCash, your payment history, and overall profile and other confidential factors are also considered during the evaluation. Since we look at all these factors together, a high score alone does not mean automatic approval.
Can I speed up the eligibility process?
No. GLoan offers are made by our system. This cannot be unlocked manually. Stay active on GCash and keep your account up to date.
Why are others with lower GScores eligible while I'm not?
GLoan checks more than just GScore. Each user has a different profile and GCash reviews eligibility weekly based on other factors.
Why is my GLoan limit low? Can I increase it?
Your credit limit is set by our system based on your profile. It cannot be manually adjusted.
Why didn't my limit increase even though I pay on time?
Paying on time is good, but your limit depends on other factors our system checks.
I have multiple GCash numbers. Why can't I use GLoan on my other numbers?
GLoan works on only one active GCash number per user. If you have a loan on one number, you must pay it in full before you can apply on another number.
