Claim remittance via GCash app
Make sure to cash in immediately to claim your remittance, as your remittance's reference number might expire within 90 days. You may claim remittances using Reference Numbers via MoneyGram and Western Union by following the steps below:
- On the GCash homepage, tap Cash In
- Select Global Partners and Remittance
- Under Online Remittance Claim, select MoneyGram or Western Union
- Input the exact Expected Amount and Reference Number, then tap Next
If all the details are correct and the transaction is successful, your wallet will be immediately credited with the remittance amount.
If you have entered the reference number incorrectly 3 times, you will be locked out from claiming your remittance. You may try re-entering your reference number again after 24 hours. Please ensure that there are no errors or mistypes to avoid being locked out again.
Send/receive remittance to GCash wallet
Receiving remittances is for Fully Verified GCash users only. Please take note also of your GCash wallet and transaction limits.
You can send your remittance directly to a GCash wallet either by going to the location of a branch or through the partner’s website or app. Please note that the availability of services may vary per country.
Note: Please double check all details. The receiver’s GCash-registered name and mobile number must match.

- On the GCash homepage, tap Cash In
- Select Global Partners and Remittance
- Under Remittance Partners, select your preferred partner
- You may view the instructions to cash in

- Double-check that the reference number, amount, mobile number, or name are all correct. Your ID must match the details the sender placed.
The cash in transaction may take some time depending on your cash in method. Rest assured your funds are safe with us and you will receive a notification once this has been completed. Verify if your Cash In transaction was successful:
- Check your network signal and make sure you have a stable connection
- Check if you received an SMS confirmation from GCash
- Check your GCash Transaction History or App Inbox
- Check if you entered the correct mobile number
- Check if you entered the correct OTP. You have 3 attempts, after which, you will be asked to wait 5 minutes to try again
- If you used PayPal, Western Union, or MoneyGram, please double-check that the reference number was correct
- If you followed the steps above, but still haven't received your Cash In funds, submit a ticket.
It would be best if you reach out to the wrong recipient of the funds to ask for the money back.
Based on policy, we can only accommodate wrong cash-in reversal requests if the recipient is not a GCash user, or if only one digit is wrong and the wrong recipient has not used or withdrawn the money. If your concern falls under these cases, submit a ticket here. Other reasons may not be accommodated.
