How to buy bonds in GBonds
Buying bonds through GBonds lets you invest in Treasury Bills and Retail Treasury Bonds for as low as PHP 500. You can buy Pre-Sale Bonds or Issued Bonds.
These are new bonds offered before their Issue Date. In the GCash app, they are tagged “Pre-sale” with the note “Bonds on Pre-Sale are new offerings, you can reserve now!” You can reserve these early.
These bonds are past their Issue Date but are still open for buying. In the app, they are tagged “Issued” with the note “Issued Bonds are past Issue Date but still available to buy.” You can still invest in them.
How to buy bonds in GBonds:
- On your GBonds dashboard, tap Invest > GBonds.
- Go to the Market page, choose a bond, > tap Buy.
- Enter the amount you want to invest > tap Buy.
- Check the details > tap Confirm.
You will see a page showing that your Buy order was placed.
Buy orders in GBonds are done in real time. Once you confirm, your payment is locked until the bond is issued.
You will get an email when the bond is successfully awarded and issued.
