Multiple charges for scan QR payment
If you were deducted twice for one payment:
- Confirm what’s seen in your transaction history.
- Check the next steps below
Option A: Only one transaction
If you were charged twice but only see one in your history, the other payment is still being checked.
The extra amount will be auto-reversed after 24 to 48 hours. Please wait for your refund.
Option B: Two transactions
If both charges appear, please contact support on the GCash app:
- Go to Transactions
- Select your QR payment
- Tap Get Help > “I was charged more than once for my transaction”
Important Reminders:
- File one ticket for EACH charge. Do not group them. Each charge has a unique Reference ID we need to track.
- This helps our team check with the merchant to find the valid payment and which ones we can refund.
- Attach a screenshot of each charge.
- Check your tickets. Usually, one will be rejected (the valid payment). The duplicate will be confirmed for reversal.
