How to verify my GCash Overseas account

After creating your GCash Overseas account, verify it to use GCash services. 

Verify using a Philippine ID

1. Open the GCash app.
2. Enter your mobile number and MPIN.
3. Tap Get Started, then read the reminders.
4. Enter the required information, then tap Next.
5. Choose one valid Philippine government-issued ID:
   • National ID (card, paper, or digital)
   • Passport
   • HDMF (Pag-IBIG Loyalty Plus)
   • Driver’s License or BLTO Driver’s License
   • Philippine Postal ID
   • PRC ID
   • UMID
   • SSS ID
6. Take a clear photo of your original ID, then tap Submit.
7. Tap Next and complete the selfie scan.
8. Enter the required information, then tap Next.
9. Review your information, then tap Submit.
10. Wait for an SMS about your application status.

Verify using a foreign ID

You may also submit one of the following valid foreign government-issued IDs:

• Emirates ID (UAE)
• Iqama (Saudi Arabia)
• Kuwait Civil ID Card (Kuwait)
• State of Qatar Residency Permit (Qatar)
• USA Passport
• UK Passport
• Permanent Resident Card (Canada)
• Electronic Identity Card (Italy CIE)
• Permesso di Soggiorno (Italy Residence Permit Card)

Tips for submitting your foreign ID

• Submit a clear and readable photo of your original, valid ID.
• Make sure your ID shows your full name, nationality, and birthdate.
• Make sure the photo on your ID matches your selfie.
• Enter your personal information exactly as shown on your ID.

After submitting your foreign ID, wait for an email with instructions on how to provide additional documents. These may include:

• PSA Philippine Birth Certificate
• PSA Philippine Marriage Certificate
• Old Philippine passport or passports
• Certificate of Filipino Citizenship (Reacquisition/Retention) issued by the DFA or Bureau of Immigration
• A non-original copy, such as a photocopy, of a valid Philippine passport
• Voter’s ID or voter’s affidavit
• Old or expired Philippine IDs that show Philippine nationality, such as a Philippine Postal ID or Philippine Driver’s License

How to request PSA documents

To request PSA documents, visit the PSAHelpline GCash Overseas page.

You can pay with GCash or a credit card. After payment, verify your identity using your foreign passport or ID.

After your identity is verified, view your digital document in the E-Cert Portal. If you need a printed copy, choose your preferred courier and pay the delivery fee. Then tap Schedule Pickup to upload the waybill.
