GBonds fees

GBonds lets you easily invest in government bonds using your GCash app. Basic account actions are free, but trading has small fees to cover costs.

GBonds Trading Fees 

When you buy or sell on GBonds, there are two fee types:

1. Convenience Fees

• T-Bills on Primary Market (Pre-Sale): 0.50% per year
• RTBs on Primary Market (Pre-Sale): No fee
• RTBs on Secondary Market (Issued): 0.75% per year

2. Transaction Fees

• RTBs on Primary Market (Pre-Sale): No fee
• T-Bills on Primary Market and RTBs on Secondary Market:
  • 0.25% of the amount, with a maximum of PHP 5 per transaction

Sample Fee Computations

Primary T-Bills (PHP 500, 91 days):

• Convenience Fee: PHP 500 * 0.50% * (3 / 12) = PHP 0.62
• Transaction Fee: PHP 500 * 0.25% * (3 / 12) = PHP 0.31

Secondary RTBs (PHP 5,000):

• Convenience Fee: PHP 5,000 * 0.75% = PHP 37.50
• Transaction Fee: PHP 5,000 * 0.25% → capped at PHP 5.00
