How can I update the mobile number linked to my GSave by CIMB account?
To change the mobile number linked to your GSave by CIMB account, you must first update the mobile number registered in your GCash account. Click here to learn how.
Note: You can only have one (1) GSave by CIMB account registered under your name.
If you’ve already updated your GCash mobile number and it is Fully Verified, please follow the next steps below depending on your situation to ensure a smooth transfer.
If you haven’t linked yet your GSave in the CIMB app, you can easily update your mobile number directly in the CIMB Bank app by following these steps:
- On the CIMB bank app login screen, tap Link my Account
- Enter the mobile number and email address registered to that account, and verify with SMS OTP
- Note: If you've lost access to your mobile number, click 'I lost access to my mobile number.' after selecting the account you want to link.
- Input the 6-digit security code.
- Note: If access to your email is lost, select “I lost access to my email address”
- Provide your new mobile number and email address, and verify via OTP.
- Follow the next steps then await confirmation from CIMB bank within 1-2 banking days regarding successful verification.

If your GSave by CIMB account has no financial transactions within 2 years, it will be considered dormant or inactive. Please contact CIMB directly for assistance.

Once you’ve updated the mobile number registered in your GCash account, make sure that:
- Your new mobile number must be Fully Verified in GCash.
- Your current GSave by CIMB account remains active. Ensure that the previous mobile number linked to your account is correct to avoid issues during the update.
- For a successful transfer, all your personal details (name, birthday, and other registered information) must exactly match between GCash and CIMB.
Once you’ve checked all the requirements above, you can click here to request for transfer. A customer service representative will contact you within 1-2 business days.
Please allow up to 14 business days for your mobile number to be fully updated in your GSave by CIMB account.
