How to register for a Personal Equity and Retirement Account (PERA) with GCash
PERA is a voluntary retirement savings plan in the Philippines. You can register for PERA with your GCash account. After, you can manage your PERA account through our partner ATRAM, via the “PERA by ATRAM” app. Enjoy these tax perks:

- Tax-free investment income
- No insolvency or estate taxes
Before you start
- You can register for PERA if you are Filipino, 18+, have a valid TIN, and a Fully Verified GCash account.
- When you can withdraw from PERA account
- Retirement: At 55 years old AND have contributed for at least 5 years.
- Death of Contributor: Your beneficiaries can withdraw anytime.
- Illness or Injury: If you are hospitalized for more than 30 days
- Transfer: Move funds to another PERA product or administrator within 15 calendar days of withdrawal.
- Note: Early withdrawal fees apply. You may need to repay any tax benefits you have already received.
- Fees may include admin, custodian, trade, and management fees (0.5%–1%+ per year)
- Contribution limits per year:
- Local: PHP 200,000
- Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs): PHP 400,000
- Investment option: Unit Investment Trust Funds (UITFs)
How to sign up
Follow these steps to set up your PERA account through GCash:
- Go to the ATRAM site: https://openfinance.atram.com.ph/
- Click Sign Up.
- Click Register using your bank or e-wallet
- Click Proceed to agree to the T&Cs
- Choose GCash and tap Proceed.
- Scan the QR code using your GCash app.
- Log in via MPIN/biometrics
- Confirm your application and tap Proceed to Partner.
- You will be redirected back to the ATRAM website.
- Fill in your other info.
- Install the “PERA by ATRAM” app and you’re done!
