Scan to Pay with In-store QR

Scan to pay is a feature that allows customers to scan a QR code to pay for their transactions in your store via their GCash wallet.

Application requirements

Signing up is free of charge and is currently open to new and existing business owners. Prepare the following documents according to the type of your business:

How to sign up your business for QR payments

1. Enter your merchant details in this Google Form and wait for a representative from GCash to contact you
2. Prepare and submit your DTI Certificate of Registration, CIR Certificate of Registration, Valid ID, and the other application requirements
3. Once submitted, you will receive an auto email. The email will have details of the Scan to Pay QR product, the documents required, and how to upload the documents via Google form. You will also receive a Zoom invite to the weekly webinars which are arranged by the Acquisition team.
4. For approved and processed applications, you will receive a QR Kit, which contains the following:

•  
  • QR standee
  • Cellphone with Globe SIM Card (Do NOT register the SIM to GCash)
  • Door hanger
  • Guide or instructions

Application Timelines

Note: If your application is returned, you may be required to submit additional documents. Keep in mind that resubmitting will reset the application timelines to day 1.

Accepting QR Payments

You can start accepting payments as soon as your QR kit has been delivered and set up in your store. Customers can pay by scanning your QR code or generating their personal QR code.

Here are some reminders with accepting QR payments:

• You do not need an internet connection to accept GCash payments. You just need a phone to accept SMS notifications to confirm the payments made, which is already included in your QR kit.
• All payments, including payments made using GCredit, GGives, or vouchers, will be seeded in FULL to the merchant’s virtual wallet in real time.
• GCash will automatically settle to the merchant’s nominated bank account for all successful GCash transactions on the next banking day. You will receive an SMS or text message confirmation after a successful transaction.

• Settlement or transaction reports are sent via email after 24 hours. You may view your GCash transactions through the settlement report in order to verify if your transactions are complete.

If your QR keycards or phone/SIM card got lost or got damaged, please email merchantsupport@gcash.com and request a replacement. This will be delivered within 7-11 days, depending on your branch’s area.
