We highly encourage you to keep your GCash account to be able to continue doing hassle-free and fast transactions right at your fingertips with our GCash App. We also have exciting new features coming out soon that you may be interested with.
If you wish to remain inactive, we may apply dormancy maintenance fees for GCash wallets that have not been used for least six (6) months from the last date of transaction. The maintenance fee of P50 shall be automatically debited from the GCash customer's wallet every month. GCash wallets that remain inactive for 6 months and with zero balances shall be automatically closed.
We hope you may reconsider to be our GCash customer. If you wish to still proceed with the request, submit a ticket for assistance. You will also need to fill up the deletion request form below.
A few reminders as well on the request to delete:
1. Please make sure to settle your GCredit outstanding balance first prior request. We will not be able to proceed if there is a GCredit due in your GCash account.
2. Your account will be tagged as 'Inactive' to prevent it from being used for any GCash transaction once we complete this process. The actual deletion of your data from our systems, on the other hand, will be done 5 years from the date your account has been tagged as 'Inactive'. This is in relation to our compliance with R.A. 9160, as amended, which requires a retention period of 5 years. As a financial institution, under the jurisdiction of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), we are also required to observe said law, and in particular, the prescribed retention period.
