AsiaPay is a payment gateway channel that enables merchants to securely accept digital payment methods like GCash. AsiaPay is also known under the name PesoPay to cater to the Philippine market.
Steps to shop and pay using GCash on PesoPay supported merchants
- We shop on an online merchant support by PesoPay
- We confirm the order and checkout
- We select digital or mobile wallet as payment option
- Our page gets redirected to PesoPay site
- We then select GCash as payment option
- We will be asked to enter the GCash mobile number to log in
- A 6 digit OTP (One Time Pin) will be sent to our GCash registered mobile number via SMS
- We enter the OTP on PesoPay x GCash page
- We may be asked to enter our GCash 4 digit MPIN to confirm log in and payment
- Our order is paid
For disputes and refunds
Option 1: Contact merchant directly for faster validation and processing of refund
- Refer to the merchants' contact details or customer support channels to raise a dispute
- Merchant to review and validate our concern
- If approved, merchant can access a portal provided by PesoPay to process the refund
- Refund instantly reflects to our GCash wallet
Option 2: Log concern at PesoPay for direct coordination with merchant
- Log concern at PesoPay's customer support channel at https://www.pesopay.com/payment-concerns.html
- Provide name, email address, reference number, merchant/store website, and details of the concern
- PesoPay team escalates concern to their partner merchant for validation and refund approval
- Merchant to review and validate the concern
- If approved, merchant to access the portal provided by PesoPay to process the refund
- Refund instantly reflects to our GCash wallet
- PesoPay team provides the feedback based on merchants approval
Option 3: Log a GCash Help Center Ticket or through the LiveChat support
- Via Help Center
- We can submit a ticket or manually access Help Center through the GCash dashboard
- Go to the menu bar located at the top left corner of our GCash app page
- Select "Help"
- Click "Submit a Ticket"
- Enter the email address, GCash registered full name, mobile number
- Select "Pay Online" among the category and choose the phrase that best fit our concern

- Since PesoPay already establishes the system with each of their partner merchants, GCash will no longer need to integrate just for merchants to cater to GCash customers. All it takes is one integration with PesoPay to make GCash available to all it's merchants

- Why would directly coordinating with merchant be faster than with PesoPay or GCash?
- The process was designed such that merchants will have a direct way of refunding the payments through the PesoPay merchant portal. This will resolve any disputes faster as it would skip GCash and PesoPay checking and directly allow the merchants to validate what happened and manage the refund
- However, should we encounter any problems when coordinating with merchant, we can also submit a ticket and a GCash representative should reach out to us

- We can simultaneously submit a ticket and follow through with the merchant
- Once refund reflects in GCash system, our representative will immediately confirm
