Starting July 6, 2020, our Cash In via Bank Card (MasterCard/Visa) service will incur a convenience fee of 2.58%. This will be charged on top of the amount you cash in. This is due to the direct charges from our payment partners, and will be paid directly for their services.
1. How much am I being charged? How do I calculate the fees?
The convenience fee which will be charged is 2.58% of your cash in amount. The fees will be computed for you and stated in the app for each cash in.
Sample: The fee for a PHP 100 cash with a 2.58% convenience fee charge would be PHP 2.58. The total amount charged to your card will be PHP 102.58.
|Cash In Amount||PHP 100|
|Convenience Fee Charged||PHP 2.58|
|Total Charge to Your Bank Card||PHP 102.58|
2. When will the fee be charged?
Convenience fees will be charged July 6, 2020 onwards for all Cash In via Bank Card transactions with no minimum amount.
3. Why are we including a fee to the service?
All Bank Card (MasterCard/Visa) transactions are charged fees by connected payment partners.
While GCash has kept the Cash In via Bank Card (MasterCard/Visa) service free to allow users to fund their GCash wallets, our payment partners have recently increased the charges for this service; in which each cash in transaction will now incur a 2.58% convenience fee, representing the direct charges from our payment partners.
4. Are there alternative channels to fund my GCash account via a bank account?
For BPI and UnionBank, we have in-app features for users to link and cash in for free. You may also cash in with your respective bank's app/website via InstaPay. Most banks' InstaPay service remain free until further notice.

5. How do I check on the fees implemented?
You can check your transaction history on the GCash App or you may download your transaction history through your nominated email address.
6. Why does my bank statement indicate a different amount to my cash in amount?
The fee is charged on top of your cash in amount. For example, if you cashed in PHP 1,000, with fees of PHP 25.80, the amount stated in your bank statement for the transaction will be PHP 1,025.80.
