What is the Makatizen ID or Card?
The Makatizen ID Universal Card System aims to efficiently provide direct social benefits (i.e. allowance, scholarship, health and medical) and financial services to the employees,constituents and the general public of the city of Makati.
The Makatizen ID will also be a government valid ID that is linked to a GCash account that can access mobile transactions and acts like a debit card for purchase of goods in all iBayad merchants that earn Makatizen loyalty points and can be accepted in all 33 million Mastercard merchants around the world. It will also provide a Makati cashless city!
How do I apply for Makatizen card?
For employees, you may inquire with Makati City Hall HR when the registration schedule will be
1. Employee gets his data captured by iBayad (Name, pic, bday, etc.)
2. Employee registers with GCash (Service Form), SIM enablement (P2P, G2L). B2C forwards to KYC team
3. Wait for announcement from HR when the cards will be available for pickup (after ~45 days).
For Makati residents, you may inquire with your barangay office when the next barangay caravan is. (Process is still being finalized with iBayad)

2. Data capturing, and Registration (Service Form). To be outsourced from iBayad to do all steps of registration.
3. Wait for announcement from barangay office when the cards will be available for pickup (after ~45 days)
Do I need to register to GCash first before I can apply for the card?
Yes, constituents will have to fill out the GCash Service Forms, and other details required by Makati for the ID. Other details include, emergency contact and Blood Type.
Will I go thru KYC process?
For employees, fill out the Service Form and KYC shall be executed within 24 hours (since there is SIM enablement).
For Makati citizens, just fill out the Service Form, KYC to happen via barangay to barangay execution.
Where do I apply?
For employees, you may visit your City Hall (thru HR)
For Makati citizens, visit your Barangay Caravans (awaiting for the schedule)
Is there a fee?
All cards and SIMs are free of charge for the customers. In the event of a lost SIM or card, constituent will have to shoulder the cost.
What are the transaction fees when I use the card?
For withdrawals, this is free at any Landbank ATMs, PHP 20 in other ATMs
How long can I use the card?
As MasterCard/GCash/Bancnet card: 5 years
As a Valid govt. issued ID: For clarification with Makati
How and where to use the card?
You may use it as your regular GCash card. For Makati specific, iBayad POS machines to be deployed at Sari-sari stores, Jollijeeps, UMak, OsMak, Barangay Offices (Specific locations to be clarified with iBayad)
If I have an existing GCash card, can I link this?
Yes you can but the Makatizen card has more features than a regular GCash card (EMV, MC, NFC for data capturing, valid ID, loyalty points c/o iBayad)
Will you offer this to other parts of Metro Manila?
For now, it is offered to Makati city employees, and residents only. This will later be on offered to Makati city workers.
Why Makati?
Makati is the premier financial hub of the Philippines, most capable to host this program before it can be replicated to other cities.
Can I also use this ID for my government-related transactions? SSS Loan/Pagibig Loan, Passport application, etc?
Yes, this is a valid govt. issued ID
When can I receive the card?
You’ll be able to receive the card after 45 days from time of registration. Please wait for official annoucements from Makati city HR or Barangay office.
Is it already activated upon purchase? ---- The card?
Employees: Yes. The SIMs and Card (kitted together) shall already be linked.
Citizens: No, they'll still have to link it to the card which is already registered (Normandy approach)
For lost or defective Makatizen card, where can customer request?
You may register a new mobile number to Gcash and have it fully-verified via the Gcash App then you need to coordinate with Makati City Government thorough their official Facebook page “My Makati” to have your account updated.
I already lost the simcard issued to me by Makatizen, what should I do?

I already have a new fully-verified Gcash number, how am I going to link to it to my Makatizen Card?

I still have my Makatizen card with me but not the sim card linked to it, can I still use the Makatizen card for transactions?
Yes, as long as you remember your 4-digit Gcash MPIN.
I don’t have yet my Makatizen card, how can I get the funds seeded on my account?
You may visit any Gcash partner outlets to do an over the counter cash-out transaction. A 2% service fee will be charged for the transaction.
I lost my Makatizen card, how am I going to request for a replacement?

The amount was seeded to my old GCash account, what should I do?
