How to Pay QR in Japan – GCash Help Center

Are you in Japan right now? You can now Pay via QR with our partner merchants under Alipay!

Ensure that you are a fully verified user to be able to Pay via QR in Japan!

There are two ways you can Pay via QR

How to present your generated QR or barcode to the merchant

Step 1: Open the QR option in the bottom navigation bar or Pay QR option on the GCash App home page

Step 2: Click on Pay Abroad with Alipay+

Step 3: Present your QR Code at the counter and have the cashier scan your QR Code or your Barcode

Step 4: You’ll receive your receipt after the transaction has been processed

How to scan the Alipay Merchant’s QR:

Step 1: Open the QR option in the bottom navigation bar or Pay QR option on the GCash App home page

Step 2: Click on Scan QR

Step 3: Scan the Alipay Merchant’s QR Code

Step 4: You’ll receive your receipt after the transaction has been processed
