How do I transfer money from my old GCash account to my new one?
If you lose access to your phone or SIM, or need a new GCash account, you can transfer funds from your old account. Follow these reminders and steps:
Reminders:
- Update Number: If your new number isn’t registered with GCash, update it through Account Recovery in the GCash app.
- SIM Issues: If your SIM is lost, stolen, defective, or expired, get a new SIM with the same number from your network provider. Learn how to report a lost or stolen SIM here.
GCash Features that won't transfer
These features will not be moved to your new account:
- Previous account information
- Transaction history
- GScore
- GForest
- Piggy Bank
Required Documents
You need these documents to request the fund transfer:
- Valid IDs: Choose from the National ID (Card Type), ePhil ID (Paper Type)/Digital National ID, Passport, HDMF (Pag-Ibig Loyalty Plus), Driver's License, Philippine Postal ID, PRC ID, UMID, and SSS ID.
- Selfie: A clear photo of yourself holding your valid ID.
- *Affidavit of Loss: Required if your SIM is lost, stolen, defective, or expired.
Steps to Transfer Funds
- Create New Account: Open a new GCash account with your new number and new mobile device.
- Verify Account: Fully verify your new GCash account. Verification is necessary to proceed.
- Request Transfer: Click here to request the fund transfer. Attach all required documents. You’ll get a confirmation email about your request within 48 hours.
