Send and claim a gift
GCash Send Gift allows you to send money as gifts to up to 10 recipients at a time. You may choose to divide your cash gift evenly or randomly between all recipients. Depending on the season, the service may appear as Send Ang Pao, Send Love, or Send Pamasko.
Note: The gift will be returned to the sender’s wallet if it is not claimed by the recipient within 72 hours.
Follow the steps below to learn how to send a gift:
- On the GCash homepage, tap Send > Send Gift
- Input the number of people you want to send a gift to
- Input an amount then select if you want to divide your gift equally or randomly
- Personalize your gift with a theme or add a short message
- Input the GCash mobile numbers of your recipients
- Review if the details are correct and tap Confirm
To claim a gift, open the notification in your GCash app inbox saying you got a gift and tap Open Gift. The gift will be added to your GCash wallet instantly.

Follow the steps below if you are unable to send money to another GCash account:
- Check your network signal and make sure you have a stable connection
- Check what your Wallet and Transaction Limits are based on your GCash Profile
- Check if your GCash balance is enough for your Send Money transaction
- Check with your intended recipient if they have reached their incoming transaction limit/wallet limit
- Make sure that you checked the checkbox confirming your transaction
- If you still have an issue with your Send Money transaction, submit a ticket here
Follow these steps to check if your Send Money transaction was successful:
- Check if the sender sent money to the correct mobile number
- Check your network signal and make sure you have a stable connection
- Check if you received a confirmation message of successful transfer in your App inbox (which may take up to 5 minutes)
- Check if your Send Money transaction was reflected in your Transaction History
- If you've done the steps above and still have an issue with receiving funds, submit a ticket here
If you sent money to the old number of your recipient or another person with a different number, it would be best to reach out to the wrong recipient of the funds and ask for the money back.
Based on policy, we can only accommodate wrong send reversal requests for one reason: Only one digit in the wrong recipient’s mobile number is wrong. Please note that even if it's a single-digit error, the case will still be subject to review. If this is the reason, submit a ticket here so that we can review it.
