I sent money to an inactive/deactivated GCash account. What should I do?
GCash transactions via Send Money are processed in real time, and based on our Terms & Conditions, we cannot reverse or refund transactions once they’re completed. When you use Send Money, you are responsible for confirming the details of your transaction.
If you sent money to an inactive or deactivated GCash account, here's what you can do:
Sent Money to an Inactive Number:
An inactive GCash user hasn't transacted on GCash for over 6 months.
1. If someone sent money to your old GCash number, request for transfer of funds to your new GCash account.
2. If you accidentally sent money to an inactive number, you may try to reach out to the recipient number and ask them to log in to their GCash account and send back the money.
3. If you sent money to the OLD number of the recipient with a new GCash account, you may ask them to request for a transfer of funds to their new account and send back your money.
Sent Money to a Deactivated SIM:
If you try to use Express Send to send money to a deactivated or non-GCash account, an error message will appear.
