Someone transferred to my bank using their GCash, but I didn’t receive it
The following information applies if someone transferred money from their GCash to your local bank or e-wallet but you didn’t receive the money. Local banks include BPI, Unionbank, BDO, Metrobank, etc.
Bank transfers from GCash to bank and other e-wallets are processed instantly through Instapay. However, there are times that there can be delays due to system timeouts or scheduled/unscheduled maintenance. If there’s a problem with the bank transfer, the sender will receive an SMS notifying that the money will either be:
- Returned to their GCash Wallet within 1-2 business days, or
- Credited to your bank account within 3-5 business days
Business days do not include weekends or holidays, as we follow the bank’s operating schedule.
If the transfer fails, the full amount including the transfer fee will be refunded to the sender’s GCash wallet. GCash works with banks to identify failed transactions and ensure quick crediting of funds.
You can monitor your account (bank or e-wallet) in the next 2 days to confirm if the transfer pushed through. If you do not see the money returned after 2 days, please ask the sender to reach out to GCash by following these steps:
- Log in their GCash app
- Tap ‘Transactions’
- Find and tap the transaction
- Tap ‘Need Help?’
- Select ‘I didn’t receive the money’
