I transferred from my GCash to the wrong bank account. What do I do?
If you sent/transferred money from your GCash to the wrong bank account, please be informed that fund retrieval is done on a best-effort basis. The final decision will depend on the receiving bank.
Here are things you can do to retrieve your funds
- If you transferred to an inactive bank account
You should receive an SMS telling you that the transfer was not successful
- If you transferred to an active bank account
Please contact the GCash support team as soon as possible by going to your GCash app > Transaction > Tap the transaction > Need help > I sent money to the wrong bank account
We will coordinate with the bank and do our best to recover your funds. Please note that the processing of refunds depends on various factors determined by both the receiving bank and/or e-wallet.
Tips for Transferring money to a bank account
- Double-check the recipient’s mobile number/account number and name before you confirm the transaction.
