Advisory on Jailbroken or Rooted Devices
To strengthen controls to safeguard all customers’ accounts, jailbroken (for iOS) or rooted (for Android) devices will no longer be allowed access to GCash.
GCash is implementing security measures to secure your account, and one of these is ensuring that the application will not be accessed through a modified/ jailbroken or rooted device. However, having an issue on a modified device does not block your account. You can safely log in on an unmodified device.
This update is an added security to your account as well as a safe and secure user experience.
Effects of a Modified Device
Having a jailbroken or rooted phone means that you have unofficial access to your phone’s operating system and key features. Using a jailbroken device may:

Compromise your phone’s Security Updates
- Jailbroken or rooted devices cannot receive security updates to their phones thus exposing your device to viruses and the like

Expose your device to Malware and Viruses
- Jailbroken or rooted devices expose your device to malware and viruses that can corrupt your system and lead to hackers stealing or sabotaging your personal information, including your login details, passwords, and PINs

Lead to Unauthorized Access to Personal and Financial Data
- Personal information, such as credit card details, and online access credentials will be at risk to scammers and hackers
Check if your Device is Jailbroken or Rooted
To check if your Android device is rooted, please follow the steps below:
- On your home screen, tap Settings
- Select About Phone
- Tap Status Information
Non-rooted phones may contain the status OFFICIAL in Status Information.
On your home screen, search if you have a third-party application for jailbreaking that is installed on your device.
In the event that your device is jailbroken or rooted, you may reach out to an authorized or accredited service center to check if they can assist you in diagnosing your device or have the original settings restored. You will be able to access GCash once you get a secure or unmodified device.
Settle your GLoan/GGives/GCredit through GCash Payment Partners
You can also pay your GLoan/GGives/GCredit/ dues via our payment partners. Enter Fuse Lending as the Biller and indicate your Account Number found on your GLoan dashboard. Learn how to pay for your dues through our payment partners below:

Note: Posting of payments through offline partners will take place 1 business day after the payment has been made. Pay your dues in advance (before your due date) to avoid incurring late payment charges.
Manage your Funds
To access your GSave, GFunds, GStocks, and GCrypto accounts, please use an unmodified device. There is no need to register again as your account is not affected or blocked. Rest assured your funds are safe and secure.

Dormancy fees will apply only if there are no movements or transactions performed on your GSave account. Please refer to the table below:

To manage your GFunds account, please use a safe, unmodified device. Your account is not affected or blocked, just the device. Once you use a non-jailbroken or unmodified device and can successfully access your GCash account, your GFunds account will also be accessible. Rest assured, your funds are safe in GFunds.
To gain access to the GStocks game, please use an unmodified device. If you are part of the weekly winners of the GStocks game, claim your prize by accessing your GCash account through an unmodified device.
To manage your GStocks PH account, please use an unmodified device. You may only transact once you gain access to your GCash account on an unmodified device. Rest assured that your funds are safe in GStocks PH.
To manage your GCrypto account, please use an unmodified device. You may only transact once you gain access to your GCash account on an unmodified device. Rest assured that your funds are safe in GCrypto.
