SMS Insure is a comprehensive insurance product that covers Life, Personal Accident (PA) and Daily Hospital Income (DHI) insurance for GCash users. It is an offering which provides valuable financial protection in the event of hospitalization, accident, and/or death.

You can avail of this product if you are:
- A Fully Verified GCash user
- Within the age of 18-64 years old
- In good health during the time of enrollment
How do I purchase SMS Insure/SMS Insure
Note: Amount for annual premium payment will be automatically deducted from your GCash wallet upon purchase. Please make sure you have enough balance in your GCash wallet to make a successful transaction.
Note: You will receive an SMS payment confirmation of your successful purchase of the Your Personal Accident Protection policy within 1-2 business days.

Can I upgrade my policy?
If you want to upgrade your GCash Insurance policy, submit a service request ticket.
You will receive confirmation from GCash after the cutoff date of your current plan.

How do I file a claim for SMS Insure/SMS Insure?
Note: Once submitted, a claims service representative will reach out to you within 24-48 hours.
How do I cancel my policy for SMS Insure/SMS Insure?
When you want to cancel your GCash Insurance policy, submit a service request ticket.
Once finished, you will receive SMS confirmation of your cancellation 1-2 days after sending your email.
If you cancel within 15 days after your initial enrollment date and as long as you haven’t made any claims, you will receive a refund of the premium amount paid.
What are the exclusions of claims under SMS Insure?
The following cases shall not be eligible for benefit payment:
- Self-inflicted injury, suicide or any attempt threat
- Strike, riot, civil commotion, acts of terrorism, revolution, insurrection, declared or undeclared war, or any warlike operation
- Any illegal act committed by the insured (murder, theft, drug-related crime, etc.)
- Childbirth and female reproductive illnesses
FAQS
Can I own multiple policies?
No you cannot. Only one policy is allowed per GCash user. If the customer happens to have multiple active policies and there is a claim, the claim must be filed against one policy only.
Can I buy this policy for someone else?
For now, you may do this by purchasing a family policy.
Can I withdraw all my premium contributions if I cancel my policy?
No. Please take note that SMS Insure is a Term Insurance - it is a type of insurance which provides you with coverage for a certain period. If you decide to terminate your insurance, the premium payment in this type of insurance is not refundable once your insurance policy expires. This type of insurance has no Cash Value, the only value is the guaranteed benefit from the policy which is Life, Personal Accident and Daily Hospital Income benefit.

How do I renew my insurance?
Your subscription is automatically renewed every month. The monthly premium amount will be deducted from your GCash wallet on each monthly cutoff. You will receive a renewal reminder 5 days prior to the renewal due date stating the amount to be deducted and the scheduled collection date. In case you miss your payment, all you have to do is load/top-up your GCash account as soon as possible. It’s important to make sure you have funds in your GCash wallet for hassle-free payments! Don’t worry, you will have a 30-day grace period for renewals. Your cover will terminate at the end of the grace period if your monthly premium remains unpaid.
